Get to Know Your Photographer

Hi, I’m Jennifer! I live in Belle with my husband, our three kids, two cats, and a dog. I’ve always loved photography. My sister gave me a Canon Elf APS camera when I graduated high school, and I caught the bug right away. I still have stacks of printed photos from those early days!

Life kept me busy for a while, but when my daughter Rachel started playing soccer—especially when she became a goalkeeper—I couldn’t just sit nervously on the sidelines anymore. I picked up a camera again, and that’s when my passion really reignited. Over time, I upgraded my gear, pushed myself to learn, and discovered just how much I enjoy capturing these moments.

These days, you’ll usually find me on the sidelines at Riverside events, camera in hand. Why do I do this? Because I love it. The joy on a kid’s face when they see a great shot of themselves is priceless to me.

Am I still learning? Absolutely. I don’t believe anyone ever stops learning in photography. I spend time reading, watching courses, and practicing so I can keep improving and offer new things to the families I work with.

Why should you choose me as your photographer? Because I believe every family deserves to have these memories captured—whether your child is 5 or 18, these are moments worth keeping. I also understand the realities of living in the Upper Kanawha Valley, and I work hard to keep my prices affordable. Photography gear and editing software are expensive, so I do need to charge, but this has never been about money for me. More than once, I’ve given photos to kids who couldn’t afford them—quietly, without fuss—because they deserve memories, too.

I primarily cover the Upper Kanawha Valley and Riverside area, but I’m happy to travel within reason.
